The city of Brussels is still a nice place to live and has a very rural feel. A quarter of its area – 40 hectares – consists of parks and woodlands, and this puts Brussels second only to Washington in the top ten of green cities. There are 40 square metres of green area per inhabitant, while Paris has only one and a half!

But you certainly do not come to Brussels for the sun – except for the inner sunshine you awaken within yourself by practising Ashtanga Yoga. Although there can be the occasional heat wave in the summer, and springtime can be very pleasant, winters are mild but wet. It rains at least 200 days a year, so don't forget your raincoat and umbrella!
